Generations.

My father was a good man. His father was a good man. I am a great man.

My father beat me without reason. His father beat him without reason.

My story will be different.

Every single time. With every single generation.

There comes a moment…

Some would call it pivotal.

I call it undeniable. With this choice, there is a responsibility that can be taken on or avoided.

A calling. A challenge. A chance. A weight.

Will you be better? Or will you settle for the bear minimum.

And when… I pray, will you let it all go.

Let go of the need to be better.

The need to break cycles. The need to right wrongs.

And simply focus on being the best.

The greatest of all time.

The greatest version of you this world has ever seen.

The version that no one saw coming.

The one that made them stand there in awe, having to pick their jaws off of the floor.

Because you said no. Because you said not again.

And chose to destroy the hill of “I will be better than…"

In favor of scaling the mountain of “I will be the best me the world has ever known.”
