August 24th, 2024! 2 months as the Operations Manager at SCADstory serving the amazing students, faculty, guests at SCAD and our amazing Savannah community and tourists.
This month, we saw a tremendous boost in guest engagement.
I took a moment to acknowledge the feedback the students had given me and adjusted my leadership style after a thoughtful and clear apology.
We celebrated our students and their success with birthday cards, donuts, croissants, and new initiatives.
I learned more about adapting my communication styles and being more thoughtful about my individual engagement strategies.
And! I got to learn so much from our amazing student docents not just about this job in particular but also in regards to their majors and passions.
I also have been checking in with our crew about their dream goals and its has been inspiring, to say the least!
The incredible student docents and some of our crew here attributed my personality and leadership to that of the legendary Ted Lasso played by the tremendous Jason Sudekis and "literally" the GOAT, Chris Traeger played by the timeless @roblowe who was coincidentally the speaker at my graduation this past June.
These comparisons help me find strengths and weaknesses and allow me to fill those gaps in my style and technique.
At the same time, my creativity is soaring and there is so much coming soon for you all!
I've said it before and I will say it again: I am the richest man alive and blessed beyond reason, with the riches of eternity with my God and Savior not far off.
