The Los Angeles Philharmonic show that I witnessed was one for the ages.

Conducted by the incredible Gustavo Dudamel.

I spent every moment of the show enraptured by each performer that was telling their own story that sewed in beautifully to the larger musical tapestry at play.

There wasn’t a moment where I was not caught in awe of the amazing feat of human and artistic expression on display.

Each artist had what seemed to be decades upon decades of training that culminated in months of practice and a tremendous couple of hours of music.

I never considered myself an opera person but I can tell you, it will not be the last performance I attend.

There is an undeniable sense of unity that takes place in a concert hall where each patron is left in complete disbelief at the masterclass in musical awareness, training, and synchronization.

Each beat and each movement was intentional and governed by thought and choice.

There were instances of crescendo and diminuendo that to this day, I cannot believe I got to bear witness to.

Each artist had a role to play in this one united song and voice that had the universal ability to take one’s breath away.

There was no better way for me to have spent that Sunday evening.

Please do yourself a favor, find a ticket you can afford, and head over to the Walt Disney Concert Hall to watch these incredible performers give it their all in service of the craft they love and invest in.
