The Epilogue:
Sometimes, this journey gets exhausting.
And heartbreaking.
And downright painful.
And it brings me joy.
Maybe not in that moment… but I have this hope that can never be stomped out that the pain won’t last forever.
This day won’t last forever.
This season won’t last forever.
And there will be joy.
There will be peace.
There will be love.
And most importantly, there has been and always will be Hope.
Because the greater the battle, the greater the triumph.
The greater the grief, the greater the love.
The greater the heartbreak, the bolder and stronger the heart.
And so I will rage. I will rage against the dying of the light.
And when this race is finished… the fierce nature of my love will never be in question…
Not for a second.
And I will rest. In eternity.
Knowing that I did it. I fought. And I clawed.
And he saw me through…
No matter the pain. No matter the attempts. No matter the addictions.
Here I stand.
Free and full of love.
Never unceasing. Never failing. Always hopeful.
