Got a couple of thank you’s coming your way.

I trusted you.

You helped me.

You gave me the tools I needed to climb out of the hole I was in.

I was so scared and all you did was be “there”.

The whole time.

Thanks for seeing my process and journey through.

Thank you for getting me through the EMDR treatment.

Thank you for being you and not quitting on me.

You saved my life and changed my life.

And I’ll never stop being grateful to you for it.

One of the most pivotal moments in my journey is still effective to this day:

Cathy: Sam… Do you mind if I play Devil’s Advocate for just a minute.

Sam: (not thinking) for sure! Go ahead…

Cathy: sometimes you tend to mistake a lack of love for disdain and a lack of disdain for love.

I use that metric to this day and am constantly working to journal through and keep processing.
