We don't get to choose how we start in this life.

What matters is what we do next.


There is always a choice.


I came face-to-face with the darkness and the whiteness that is part of my story.

Fear? Courage? Anger?


I choose to be victorious.

To demand the autonomy I am owed.


I don't need your permission anymore.

I never did.

I step out into what can be.
