Grateful.

Challenged by my brother Gunter Akridge to evolve my heart.

Heart of gratitude.

Push further in... to be thankful.

There is darkness. There is light.

It is the unseen and unspoken law of this universe.

Inspired by another brother Christian Jay to make a list.

And make it known.

Shout it from the valleys.

Even when I don't feel like I can.

Arms spread out in praise.

Because even in my darkest moments, He never left.

Some may read this and find it naive and impractical.

I would like to challenge that with a mindset of awareness and presence.

Being hyper-focused on the reality that I am not alone.

I never was.

I was crafted with purpose.

To notice. To observe. To shout out.

To love.

I will never stop.

That's when I let the curse overcome me.

To grumble. To complain. To play the victim.

That's not who I am...

That's not what my bloodline will stand for.
