In the waves that threaten to tear me down and overwhelm me, I look up.

I find peace.

I find assurance. Blessed and sure.

He stands above it all.

Life’s not fair.

Adversity is a key ingredient to success.

Weather the storms.

All these platitudes fall short of satisfying my logical reasoning…

To be kicked when I’m down.

And wonder why I continue this relationship when all it “feels” like is the last thing left in this world that disappoints me.

Feelings don’t get the final say.

Not by a long shot.Hit me with your best shot.
