That is what the last 9 months looked like.
Indescribable Pain. Unbearable Exhaustion. Unprecedented Triumphs.
Greatness on a Different Level.
This journey taught me what acceptance looked like, what love felt like, and what grief truly was.
I am thankful for the family that stepped up for me and my ability to finally ask for help.
This story doesn't exist without every version of myself... Each of the 9490 versions of myself scratching, clawing, and pushing past circumstances meant to derail everything he dreamt of.
Through abuse, addictions, heartbreak, amends, repentance, grief, and sorrow, was born love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, and self-control.
I will never forget where I came from.
Lost and all alone.
Found by Jesus. Brought closer to him through therapy, the 12 steps program, and spiritual mentors and leaders.
Thank you Savannah College of Art and Design and Paula S. Wallace for taking a shot on me when no one else would.
Thank you Martin Antoon, Stephan Cote, Bill Foster, Gunter Akridge, Jason Epps, Evan Gear and Janette from South Hills Burbank for being such tremendous spiritual mentors these past few years.
Thank you Ms. Cathy with SCAD Bee Well for challenging me to be the best version of me I could be.
Thank you, Jesus, for never leaving me or forsaking me. All for you glory, now and forevermore.
As this new chapter begins, so do more projects. I've got 3 works currently in the pipeline for you all with a collection of poems and my 3rd book coming soon as well as an Amazon Kindle page for my prior releases.
Your support and love means the world to me and I am so excited to continue this journey as a Professional Storyteller alongside you all!
Yours faithfully,
Sam Qavah John.
