Being: An Immigrant's Story

Writer's picture: Sam JohnSam John

I am beyond thankful for my home. For my life. For the blessings. And for the trials. Each one of them has helped me grow.

Into the man I am.

The man I choose to be.

The man who loves fully grieves deeply and hopes unceasingly.

For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

In God I Trust.

Victory for Mother India.

Thank you, Jesus, for my homeland.

Thank you, Jesus, for the land I call home.

This journey was never going to be easy.

Each day I grow and I pray and I fight.

Because it is worth it.

And will never stop being worth it.

Deep breath, my love. You got this!
