Art Thoughts: Spider-Man: Across The SpiderVerse!
This film is a masterpiece.
There is no better word to associate with it.
Every frame tells a story…
From Miguel’s constantly drawn lines depicting his desire to be firmly in control to the incredible chemistry between Gwen and Miles, my heart was so full leaving this movie.
Each detail was shrouded in passion and the desire to tell an overwhelmingly engaging sequel.
Yes, I would have loved the plot to be resolved but the unquenchable desire to know what happens next makes up for it.
This is one of those films that lived up to the hype but also created a whole new tapestry of lore and canon to explore.
Pavitr!!!! What an incredibly fun and honest exploration of my home and its people! CHAI TEA??
I will be revisiting this film multiple times and I am in awe of the sheer storytelling pedigree and the vision that this studio has for this franchise. My heart felt like an intrinsic part of the relationship between Gwen and Miles.
I know this because of the way my heart sank when Hobie told Gwen that she left her toothbrush at his place ahhhhhhH!
And a special shoutout to the character of Hobie. Love him or hate him, HE IS SO COOL!
This film reminded me of how much of a hero I can be if I choose to.
And every day, I make that choice because you don’t need a radioactive spider bite to help people.
What a testament to the brilliance and majesty of the animated film!
