I am in awe and have been mystified by the conclusion of the Norse chapter of this series.
The ability and sheer will of Santa Monica Studio, Cory Barlong, and Eric Williams to give this story the ending it not only deserved but, also superseded expectations and predicted sales is so inspiring and unheard of.
The story alone would be enough to make it one of the greatest creations in the genre and even art but the sheer vastness and beauty of the world crafted by the studio and their unrelentingly hard-working team is what made it what it was.
The world that has been built across the nine realms seems unimaginable at best but my oh my what a masterclass in world-building and storytelling it has been.
I felt seen, heard, and spoken to throughout a mystical journey of gods across the realms.
On a more personal note, although I've always dreamt of being a girl-dad, partly out of the fear of repeating the cycle of pain, this game helped me realize one thing above all else: FATE ONLY BINDS YOU IF YOU LET IT.
This is what video games can be.
Thank you for allowing me into your world.
Christopher Judge and Sunny Suljic: you have given us a performance of a lifetime and have given me a bar to aspire to. Thank you.
