Man... I am so thankful!
What a blessing it is to have the opportunity to be a part of this country.
A place where I feel unlimited, brave, bold, and free.
Thank you @scaddotedu for giving me the opportunity to do what I love!
I love my home land. Please don't misunderstand me. But, this country.
This place I dreamed of when I was in my lowest of lows gave me hope and a dream.
I struggle constantly with my identity and stepping into who I am in a land I immigrated to but to have this chance and have the ability to do what I love as a first-generation immigrant is a dream come true.
I live out this dream and the nightmarish moments in pursuit of the opportunities I received when I was 19 for my kids right from the start.
I will give this journey everything I have and I am honored to be a part of this country.
I miss my home... more than I can express and I honor the opportunity to call this land my home, now.
Thank you, Jesus.
Thank you, America.
I love this country and want to be a part of its forward momentum.
I consider patriotism an act of serving and wanting this new home of mine to be the best it can be for everyone and I am blessed beyond compare for my story and the journey so far.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Yours faithfully,
Sam Qavah John.
